I work best with students who feel stressed, overwhelmed, or uncertain about the next steps in their life—whether that’s managing academic pressure, navigating relationships, or figuring out what comes after graduation. I help students make sense of their experiences, manage stress, and find practical ways to feel more balanced and confident. Marussia Role, PsyD
I became a therapist to provide support and affirmation to folks with systemically oppressed identities (e.g., trans and queer folks, ADHDers, kinksters, chronically ill/disabled folks, POC, cis women). I am dedicated to working with individuals facing interpersonal, life, and identity-related challenges, such as navigating gender roles and emerging adulthood (college and grad students welcome!). I collaborate with clients on a variety of concerns, such as anxiety, relationships/dating, boundaries, difference in views/beliefs from family of origin, and imposter syndrome. In my work, I use approaches such as Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients. I like to mix in gentleness, deep exploration, celebration, and the occasional “dad joke” to our work. My clients tell me this approach makes them feel truly heard, learn to advocate for themselves, and move toward their values. I believe that you deserve frank, warm support and to not be handled with kid gloves (or the dreaded, overly soothing “therapist voice”). If you want to invite me onto your therapy journey, I’d be thrilled to hear from you. I offer a free, 15 minute consultation to discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and to tell you more about what I can offer you. My Background and Approach I am devoted to building genuine, nourishing connections with my clients. My graduate training focused on providing multiculturally affirming therapy to people of a variety of backgrounds and intersecting identities. I also trained in evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to aid clients in achieving their therapeutic goals. I have specialized training in working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and the young adult population, both in university and community health settings. Last, I bring my lived experience as a Queer, White, chronically ill, genderqueer being to my work with clients. I own my privilege and discuss, as it arises, power dynamics that may occur between us due to our identities, beliefs, and experiences. I believe these conversations are critical for full honesty and trust in your mental health journey.

Heather Audette - Ivy Path Counseling PLLC
Do you ever wonder how everyone else seems to have figured out how to balance everything, but you're still starting your papers at midnight the night before they're due? It feels like you're trying your best, but everything just keeps getting harder. Maybe you've been feeling anxious, stressed, and overwhelmed most days, and you're also starting to question whether you might be neurodivergent. And somehow, the more you learn about what might be going on for you, the more overwhelmed you feel. What if things could be just a little bit easier? If you could manage the stress and overwhelm, make time for the people and things that are important to you, learn to be okay with putting yourself first, and maybe even figure out how to quiet those racing thoughts that keep you up at night. Let's work together to figure it out. My clients describe me as supportive, nonjudgmental, and easy to talk to. My practice is affirming to all, though I specialize in supporting women and LGBTQIA+ individuals who identify as ADHD, autistic, or AuDHD. I help my clients to make sense of their past, find ways to feel grounded and confident in the present, and start creating the future they want. It may not seem like it now, but things can get better. Visit my website to learn more and reach out to schedule a free consultation.

My approach is culturally responsive and rooted in social justice, ensuring you feel seen and respected without having to "translate" your cultural reality. Together, we will co-create a path toward healing that feels authentic to who you are.

Sometimes it feels like the world is crashing down around you, or it may feel like life has been chaotic for so long you can't imagine it any other way. Sometimes you might not be able to stop thinking about it, other times you'll do anything to avoid thinking about it. It's been a heavy burden to carry, even if others are trying to help. Whatever the reason you are seeking treatment, I am here to be your teammate in the healing process. I am open to working with anyone experiencing stress, grief or trauma. If you are looking for someone with niche experience relevant to your situation, I have specialized experience supporting survivors of domestic violence and community violence, suicide and homicide bereavement, individuals with adoption and foster care histories, individuals impacted by a loved ones' substance use, intergenerational trauma, and burnout/compassion fatigue. Whatever the circumstance, I am here to be your teammate in the healing process. I incorporate cultural humility into my practice, including providing LGBTQ and neurodivergent affirming care. In my practice, I value transparency in the therapeutic relationship and aim to create a space where clients can show up as their authentic selves. My approach is holistic, strengths-based and person-centered. I use a combination of attachment-based, narrative and cognitive behavioral approaches to tailor services to the person sitting in front of me. Finding the right therapist is often a frustrating process. If you are looking for an active partner in your healing journey, who values transparency and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship, then I might be a good fit! Hi, thanks so much for taking an interest in my practice. It takes great courage and awareness to come to the decision to reach out for support. I see clients in my office in Cambridge, MA, near Davis Square, and in Melrose, MA, as well as by teletherapy/videochat. I specialize in helping people to free themselves from the 'silent conversation' that we have with ourselves throughout the day. By understanding how this conversation influences our thoughts, feelings, and actions, it is possible to adapt it to feel more empowered in life. It is my hope that your therapy experience will feel comforting, meaningful, real, and effective in getting to the heart of your core concerns. I work from an integrative framework in a warm and interactive environment, drawing from holistic, cognitive, and psychodynamic influences to help people to reclaim a sense of choice and authorship in their lives. My background includes more than 25 years in clinical healthcare, school, and community settings working therapeutically with individuals, couples, and groups on a wide-range of issues causing acute and chronic distress. I hold an enduring belief in the innate capacity of individuals to grow, heal, and transform. At times, we all lose sight of our core selves and may need help returning back to our true, unburdened nature. In our sessions, I work to create a safe environment where you will develop insight, strengthen inner resources, and increase self-compassion. My work is deeply relational and grounded in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. Through collaboration, we will design a therapy that best suits your needs - bringing warmth, curiosity, and respect into the therapeutic space. My practice centers on helping individuals and couples, with a focus on complex trauma, anxiety, and depression. I also work well with those experiencing challenges with relationships, gender and sexuality, body image, creative blocks and addictions. No matter where you are starting from, our work together will always deepen your connection to yourself. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the largest factor in facilitating change, so I understand the importance of finding the right fit. I look forward to meeting you and exploring how we can work together to help you lead a more satisfying and meaningful life. Email is preferred for initial contact

Just about everything in life ebbs and flows which at times can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and defeated. It is important to remember that although life may feel heavy at this moment, it does get better and you don’t have to feel ashamed of your emotions. You are entitled to recognize and accept the individual that you are right now, while also feeling inspired and motivated by the individual you envision yourself to be in the future. As a clinician, I will meet you where you are, and help you build the self-determination to seek out what may be weighing on your heart. Release what no longer serves you and feel empowered to step into your truth. Much of my career has been trauma-focused, working with adolescents and young adults, to help build self-awareness and understand the mind, body connection. I also work with those struggling with racial, multicultural, and gender identity concerns, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem/image, emotional distress, and family/relationship dynamics. My goal is not to place you in a box, but to use multiple treatment modalities that are tailored to your individual needs including: trauma-focused, psychoanalysis, solution-focused, CBT, and mindfulness practices. My approach to therapy is holistic, strengths-based, relatable and honest, with a sprinkle of humor to brighten your day! If you are ready and willing to give yourself the grace to be unapologetically you, then I am here as your teammate to cheer you on through this journey. I will always honor the person that you are today, as you work towards becoming the person you strive to be tomorrow. *waitlist only at this time*

I specialize in substance use disorders and addiction but can help anyone looking to address their relationship with substances, even if you don't think your problem is serious. I also can help with other impulse or compulsive issues such as gaming or internet addiction disorders. I use a Harm Reduction approach, meaning I don't think abstinence from use is the right answer for everyone, and can help identify what skills you need to make the changes you'd like to make. I'm also a trained trauma therapist and have worked with a wide range of clients on addressing numerous types of trauma including combat-related and sexual traumas. My office is located in Harvard Square but I can also provide virtual session (over FaceTime or VSee) for appropriate clients.
