Judi Yapias, LPC
Welcome! I am a Judi Yapias board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor, and I specialize in intergenerational trauma and understanding how trauma and stress affect the body. To better understand what your body is signaling, I integrate modalities in my practice such as mindfulness-based therapy, somatic techniques, and trauma-conscious approaches. This is an impactful approach to better understanding big and uncomfortable emotions, what the body is communicating, and those teeny, tiny voices of intuition telling us something is off. My goal is to help you begin the process of understanding and connecting with yourself on a deeper level. We’ll work on building trust between your head and heart and explore all the things about your life - cultural identity, relationships, behaviors, values, feelings, and belief systems. Together, we’ll create a foundation that empowers you to feel more integrated and aligned. Specialties Mental Health Conditions treated Relationship issues Trauma Anxiety ADHD Depression Treatment philosophy Whether you may be experiencing BIG feelings, interpersonal struggles, or wanting to better understand yourself, I am here to support you using a collaborative approach. Through a guided process and integration of mindfulness-based and trauma-conscious approaches, you and I will talk through your lived experiences. Some of these discussions will give you a sense of joy, sadness, frustration, anxiousness, pride, and excitement. As we dig and uncover these stories in a safe space, we often begin a discovery of your strengths and wisdom - from a present you and intergenerational standpoint. This experience is almost like when your body constricts and caves into a discomfort and, once ready to release, it expands and grows. Treatment approach Culturally Sensitive Trauma-Focused Emotionally Focused Mindfulness-Based(MBCT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) Practice description As we get curious about your goals, your story, your values, and your beliefs systems, we process through patterns about how you have survived & protected yourself up until this point and how these patterns affect you and your relationships (familial, platonic, and/or romantic) - looking within ourselves and connecting it to finding our space and belonging in the collective. Throughout this journey, my role is to support you in feeling safe, in a space that prioritizes inclusivity, open-mindedness, and authenticity. My goal is to bridge the gap by providing a holistic approach to therapy that is centered on you as a unique individual. “I believe healing begins when we feel seen, heard, and understood. Isabel Velazquez
Hi, I'm an LPC-Associate at Alive Austin. I work well with college students experiencing stressors and stages commonly faced during this period: life transitions, depression, anxiety, relational concerns, family conflict, or unprocessed childhood trauma. Many of my clients may struggle with boundaries, people pleasing, and navigating their new roles and responsibilities living on their own for the first time. Many people I see have also put off working though painful or significant experiences from their past that are still impacting them presently. I aim to help you build self-awareness, discard what is no longer serving you, and start finding fulfillment in life. I am currently unable to accept insurance as an LPC-Associate in Texas. I try to accommodate to students' needs by offering sliding scales. I also offer free consultations so there is not initial cost until you feel we're a good fit.
Rise Up Therapy, PLLC
Hi, my name is Katie and I started Rise Up Therapy seven years ago to create a safe space for clients to explore all the different parts of themselves. I love working with college students where life can get overwhelming fast. College is a powerful time for self-growth, and my approach is warm, relational, and practical, creating a safe space where you feel seen and supported. I use a gospel-centered framework when desired, while respecting where you are in your faith, and focus on building self-awareness, healthy boundaries, and coping tools for daily life. I’m trained in EMDR and support students processing trauma, chronic stress, and life transitions so they can move forward with clarity and confidence.

Everyone struggles with relationship issues, anxiety/worry, work stress, substance use, or uncomfortable feelings. It can also be extremely difficult to find balance and perspective sometimes. My goal is to provide a safe and organized framework for identifying these problems and developing new skills or ways of thinking about them. Ultimately, I help my clients develop the tools needed to manage independently and live a life they're excited about. Due to the current state of the world, I'm also working with a lot of individuals who are feeling isolated and cut off from their "normal" support systems to help them manage life's issues. I grew up in the Dallas area, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in psychology. I then attended graduate school at Assumption University because of its affiliation with the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. My clinical training was thus focused on a cognitive behavioral approach to treating mental health disorders like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder as well as substance abuse issues. I was also intensively trained during my internship in Dialectical-Behavior Therapy and I utilize this skills-based approach to help adolescents and adults struggling to build and maintain relationships, manage their emotions or crises effectively. My approach to therapy is problem-focused and very much operates in the present. I collaborate with clients to identify goals, develop skills, and implement them in a structured way. The area of focus in therapy tends to be on reframing thoughts or changing behaviors with the end goal of improving mood or circumstance.
Karicia Corum
Hi, Are you the ‘good’ daughter/son, the ‘good’ wife/husband, or the ‘good’ mother/father? Does your life look amazing from the outside but feels less than okay on the inside? It’s important that you have the support of someone who sees and understands you and who can respond to what you are going through. I want to help you discover why you are feeling the way you are, and more importantly, teach you the tools to help move you away from suffering, and towards inner peace. As your therapist I will be beside you every step of the way. Together we will navigate towards the joy, happiness, and self-acceptance you deserve. I specialize in brain-based therapies, such as Brainspotting; these specific modalities of treatment focus on the neurobiological variables (neuro networks) of each person to create change, specifically - neuro experiential change. Because understanding the why of behavior is not enough, for new behavior to be created new neural pathways need to be formed. I'm a bilingual in Spanish clinician with 20+ years of experience working in mental health with extensive training and credentials. However, I believe that you are the expert in your own inner world, and I am here to be a safe, grounding, and validating companion. “Nothing could ever be broken that we can't fix together" - Mirabel from Encanto
Headway, Gerald Lee
I am committed to working with individuals to assuage the burden of their issues through mutual commitment to their growth. This is sometimes accomplished individually, or, in some cases, as couples work. I further work with young men struggling to establish an identity in the absence of their biological fathers.

I believe therapy is a place where you can slow down, take a breath, and explore what’s been weighing on your heart and mind. Whether you’re navigating life changes, relationship struggles, or simply want to feel more at peace, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood.
Lindsay Durham, MA, LMFT
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working with expectant or new mothers/parents, young adults, families, and children. I have experience supporting clients who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral difficulties, death/loss, social skill development, school struggles, along with many other challenges. Rosie Szmyd
Hi! I'm Rosie (she/her). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of both Georgia and Texas. I work primarily with young adults (20s and 30s), and many of my clients are people who identify as LGBTQIA+. I have special focus in trauma processing, ADHD management, and career exploration. Throughout my social work career I have passionately advocated for racial, social and economic justice through the empowerment of individuals and groups including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, people with HIV, people experiencing homelessness, people with mental illness, people with disabilities, veterans, children and youth, and more. As a queer and neurodivergent therapist myself, I am mindful of how people’s identities factor into their experience of the world and their experience in therapy. I believe that people begin to heal the moment they feel heard. While I do incorporate interventions like CBT, EMDR, IFS, and distress tolerance, my first and foremost focus is to be unconditionally on your team and on your side. Past clients have told me that I am a natural listener and am genuine and warm in how I relate to people. When I am not obsessing over the personality psychology phenomenon known as the enneagram, I enjoy laying in the sun with a good podcast, jogging the Atlanta beltline, reading, cooking, yoga, and exploring the local food scene.
Elizabeth Kleeman, LCSW-S
With over 15 years of experience as a clinician, I provide a supportive and evidence-based approach to therapy for adults. I recognize that many different circumstances bring someone to therapy, and there’s no one single intervention that works for each person. With that in mind, I value understanding each person‘s history and collaboratively developing a “road map” for meaningful change. Holding a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas, I have treated a variety of mental health conditions and assisted clients with complex life changes and “seasons”. My approach integrates psychoeducation, skill-building, and validation to empower clients with practical tools for growth. Whether you’re facing emotional struggles, relationship difficulties, or simply seeking personal growth, my goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where healing and progress can occur.
