Cardinal Hope and Healing LLC
Welcome. I'm Andrea Jackson, LICSW, LCSW, PMH-C, a virtual therapist supporting college students and young adults across New York, Washington, DC, Virginia, Vermont, and Utah. The college years and early stages of adulthood can be exciting, but they can also bring stress, anxiety, self-doubt, loneliness, relationship challenges, academic pressure, and uncertainty about the future. You may feel overwhelmed by expectations, struggle with perfectionism, or find yourself questioning who you are and where you're headed. Therapy can provide a space to slow down, reflect, and develop tools to navigate these challenges with greater confidence. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Together, we'll explore what is contributing to your distress, build practical coping strategies, strengthen self-awareness, and identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I draw from evidence-based approaches to help clients manage anxiety, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change. As a Black woman therapist and first-generation college graduate, I understand some of the unique challenges that can arise when balancing academic goals, family expectations, cultural identity, and personal growth. I strive to provide culturally responsive, affirming care where you feel respected, supported, and able to show up as your authentic self. Whether you're adjusting to college, preparing for graduation, navigating a career transition, managing a difficult relationship, coping with grief, or simply trying to find your footing, you don't have to figure it all out alone. I would be honored to support you in building a life that feels more balanced, connected, and aligned with your values.

I spent the last seven years working with various hospitals, clinics, and schools conducting research on children with ADHD, their families, and various sleep variables and environmental factors of influence. I am a soon to be retired commissioned officer for the Army who has worked directly with veterans, service members, and their families for over a decade. Additionally, I've proven critical to the development of initiatives and collaborations that are in sync with the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness programming. I maintain an earnest desire to further what is known about ADHD and provide therapeutic expertise and researched-informed support to families and individuals that are impacted. I focus my efforts on training and advocacy on diversity, inclusion, equity, and intersectionality awareness and practices. I serve as chair past of the Diversity in the Military Committee, of the American Psychological Association's Society of Military Psychology (Division 19). As an experienced, well-versed clinician, I provide direct care to individuals and groups via evidenced-based psychotherapy, training, consultation, and other services. I'm an expert in the assessment of complex adult psychological dysfunction across the full spectrum of psychiatric diagnoses. I'm a therapist with Octave and Evernorth Behavioral Care Group. Dania Fawaz
Dania is a psychotherapist and art therapist working across the lifespan with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She offers a warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity, creativity, and compassion. Dania’s approach is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy. She helps clients understand the deeper emotional and relational patterns that shape how they experience themselves, others, and the world around them. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or identity concerns, Dania believes that understanding where our struggles come from allows us to recognize them as they unfold in the present, and that awareness creates the opportunity for meaningful change. She views symptoms and long-standing patterns as adaptive responses that once served an important purpose, even if they now feel limiting. Together, therapy becomes a process of disentangling the past from the present, making sense of these patterns with compassion, and creating more intentional ways of relating to yourself and others. Dania is trained in the Instinctual Trauma Response (ITR) model for processing traumatic memory and integrates talk therapy with art therapy, mindfulness, expressive, and somatic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. Working with clients across the lifespan informs Dania’s developmental lens, allowing her to see how patterns emerge, adapt, and evolve over time. Whether supporting a child, an adolescent, an adult, or a family, she believes therapy is most meaningful when it honors each person’s unique history while creating space for new ways of relating to oneself and to others.

Allie Kassraie
I work with individuals navigating trauma, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and major life transitions through a gender-affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive lens. I am especially mindful of how trauma can impact safety, trust, and the nervous system, and I work at a pace that feels supportive and grounding, whether clients are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, uncertain, or processing trauma related to identity, relationships, or systemic stress. With experience in queer and gender-affirming care, I take a creative, individualized approach to therapy that honors each client’s lived experience. I especially enjoy supporting LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients, college students, and those exploring identity and belonging. I offer a warm, collaborative space grounded in curiosity and compassion, helping clients build self-trust and resilience at their own pace. It can take a lot of courage to consider reaching out for support, especially if past experiences made it feel unsafe or unhelpful. Therapy does not have to be rushed or forced. If you’re curious about exploring things at a pace that feels respectful and grounding, I welcome you to take that next step when you’re ready.

I have over a decade of experience providing crisis counseling and suicide prevention to individuals in distress and immediate need of assistance. My expertise extends across various topics, including trauma, substance use, anxiety and mood disorders, as well as severe and persistent mental illnesses. While I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I also recognize the significant impact of the ecological model—considering individual, family, organizational, community, and societal factors on mental health and wellbeing. I firmly believe that change occurs through addressing faulty or unhelpful thought patterns, challenging learned behaviors, and acquiring improved coping mechanisms. Throughout our sessions, my mission is to establish an authentic rapport and create a nurturing space for clients, meeting them at their current point in their journey. I offer virtual, individual psychotherapy to clients located in Washington DC, Virginia, and Florida. All sessions are individually tailored to not only help you gain skills to relieve your symptoms, but also to develop insight into unhelpful patterns, so you can live a more fulfilling and peaceful life that aligns with your values. I am an intentional integrationist, which is a fancy way of saying I am trained in many therapeutic approaches to help you based on your needs, experiences, preferences, and style of learning. This allows me to offer a tailored approach that is just right for you. Often, clients don’t know exactly what they want or need from a therapist. I listen closely to how you describe the concerns bringing you to therapy, what you’ve tried, what you want to change about your life, and when you are at your best—all to determine the optimal approach to treatment. My experience with myriad interventions allows me to be highly flexible and pivot quickly based on your ongoing feedback. You can expect us to continually explore what is working well, how we are tracking toward your goals, and what, if anything, you want to change to optimize what you're getting from therapy. I see clients as the “pilot” of the metaphorical journey of therapy, and myself as an expert co-pilot and navigator. You decide where we go, our speed, and when to “refuel,” while I help provide the most efficient way to reach your chosen destination. Sometimes clients change their mind about their destination mid-journey. That’s okay! I am right there to help us change course smoothly. My goal is to help you to feel heard, empowered, supported, and above all to feel better. My technical approach to therapy is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as relational and psychodynamic models of therapy. As a clinical social worker, my therapeutic style is client-centered, trauma-informed, and is guided by the multicultural, strengths, and person-in-environment perspectives. Regardless of the customized treatment plan I employ, building and tending to a trusting therapeutic relationship with you is at the heart of what I do. In every session, you can expect a warm, collaborative, inclusive approach that honors your lived experiences, embraces your strengths, and is identity-affirming for clients of all backgrounds. I’m honored you’re considering me as a partner on your wellness journey. If you’re ready to take the first step toward positive change, email me today to schedule a free 15-30 minute consultation to see if I’m a good fit to be your therapist. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
