  • Clinical Social Work/Therapists

Maryam is a transgender nonbinary person. They have earned their Master’s degree from Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work, with a concentration in clinical practice with individuals, families, and groups. They bring several years of experience in the mental health field, working with diverse populations across a range of therapeutic settings.

They have extensive experience working with communities of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and neurodivergent clients. Their approach is rooted in empowerment, collaboration, and a deep belief in each client’s capacity for healing and growth.

Maryam is a compassionate and collaborative therapist committed to creating a non-judgmental, culturally responsive, and inclusive space where clients feel safe and supported. They are deeply dedicated to meeting clients where they are—honoring each individual’s lived experience with empathy, curiosity, and respect.

Maryam approaches therapy through a trauma-informed lens, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). They also incorporate creativity, play, and holistic practices to help clients access deeper self-awareness and build tools for navigating life’s challenges.
